Signifyd Acceptable Use Policy

This Acceptable Use Policy (“AUP”) applies to our customers’ use of all services (the “Services”) offered by Signifyd, Inc. and its subsidiaries (“Signifyd,” “we,” or “us”). A customer’s violation of this AUP will be considered a material breach of the applicable agreement governing the customer’s use of the Services (the “Services Agreement”). Unless separately defined in this AUP, all terms used with initial letters capitalized in this AUP have the meanings set forth in the applicable Services Agreement. Signifyd may change this AUP by posting an updated version of the AUP at and such updates will be effective upon posting. Customers must comply with all applicable laws, rules, and regulations when using the Service and any Content.

This is intended to be an illustrative, and not exhaustive, list of inappropriate actions and prohibited material. Actions (whether intentional or inadvertent) or material that Signifyd considers inappropriate or in violation of this AUP shall be, at Signifyd’s sole discretion, grounds for (i) restriction of access to the Services or Content, (ii) removal of offending material, (iii) termination of Services, and/or (iv) any other rights or remedies available to Signifyd in accordance with the Services Agreement and applicable law.


Except as may be permitted expressly by applicable law or authorized by Signifyd in advance in writing, in addition to any prohibited uses set forth in the Services Agreement, customers may not, and will not permit anyone else to:

  • Record, pre-fetch, store, copy, cache, modify, distribute, publicly display, offer, license, resell, distribute, publish, transmit, or otherwise provide access to any of the Content, or merge, compile, or collect any Content as part of a database or other work, or use any Content to update any existing database or other work;
  • Rent, lease, offer, sell, assign, or sublicense the Service or any Content, in whole or in part, or any access thereto, to another person or use the Service or any Content to provide any service, information, or content to a third party;
  • Use the Service or the Content for any purpose except for a customer’s own internal business use as expressly noted by the Services Agreement, or otherwise commercially exploit the Service or the Content;
  • Attempt to recreate any of the Content or use the Content to reverse engineer partial or incomplete information, including but not limited to telephone numbers;
  • Circumvent or disable any digital rights management, usage rules, or other security features of the Service or any Content;
  • Use the Service in a manner that threatens the integrity, performance, or availability of the Service or any third-party software, systems, networks, or Services;
  • Interfere with other users’ use of a Service;
  • Reverse engineer, decompile, disassemble, or in any way attempt to derive the source code of the Service;
  • Remove, alter, or obscure any proprietary notices (including copyright notices) on any portion of the Service or Content;
  • Use the Service or any Content in connection with an application that provides a calling party name for display on a device receiving a call by automatically comparing the calling telephone number with the Content (the foregoing does not prohibit use of the Content in connection with an application that allows reverse phone lookups);
  • Use the Service or any Content for any marketing or promotional purposes (including to contact any persons or entities using any Content);
  • Use the Service or any Content for the purposes of cookie tracking, ad exchanges, ad networks, data brokerages, or sending electronic communications (including email) in violation of applicable law;
  • Publicly disseminate information or analysis regarding the performance of the Service;
  • Use the Service to violate any third-party right or in violation of any applicable law, rule regulation, or order of any governmental authority;
  • Make the Content available for file download online in a fixed page format;
  • Use the Service or any Content in any manner as a factor in establishing an individual’s creditworthiness or to determine any consumer’s eligibility for credit, insurance, or employment;
  • Use the Service or Content, or any part thereof, in conjunction with, or as a derivative database to verify, confirm, enhance, audit and/or update any files owned, licensed or marketed by, any consumer reporting agency or companies whose purpose is determining an individual’s creditworthiness, credit standing, credit capacity, eligibility for credit, insurance, or employment, or other similar characteristics;
  • Use a Service in any manner that would disparage Signifyd; or
  • Perform significant load or security testing without first obtaining Signifyd’s written consent.

Prohibited Material

Customers may not, and may not allow any third party, including its users, to use Services to display, store, process, or transmit, or permit use of Services to display, store, process, or transmit:

  • Material that infringes or misappropriates a third party’s intellectual property or proprietary rights;
  • Hate-related or violent material, and/or material advocating discrimination against individuals or groups;
  • Obscene, excessively profane material, or otherwise objectionable material;
  • Material advocating or advancing criminal hacking, cracking, or phishing;
  • Material related to illegal drugs or paraphernalia;
  • Malicious material;
  • Unlawful software;
  • Material that may be harmful to minors;
  • Malicious code, such as viruses, worms, time bombs, Trojan horses, and other harmful or malicious files, scripts, agents, or programs; or
  • Material that violates, encourages, or furthers conduct that would violate any applicable laws, including any criminal laws, or any third-party rights, including publicity or privacy rights.
